Role Overview/Purpose
The incumbent is responsible for leading the finance function across the LATAM region, with a strong focus on controllership, financial reporting, compliance, and governance. The role ensures the integrity of financial information, effectiveness of internal controls, and compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements across all markets.
In addition, the role serves as a key business partner to regional leadership, supporting planning, performance management, and strategic decision-making. The incumbent will drive consistency in finance processes, strengthen financial discipline across markets, and build a high-performing finance organization aligned with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Controllership, Financial Reporting & Governance
* Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting across all markets in the region.
* Strengthen and maintain a robust controllership framework, including internal controls, governance, and compliance processes.
* Ensure adherence to accounting policies, reporting standards, and corporate governance requirements.
* Oversee statutory reporting and coordinate internal and external audits.
2. Business Planning & Performance Management
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across the region.
* Partner with business leaders to support decision-making and drive financial performance.
* Provide insights on business results, key risks, and opportunities to support achievement of business objectives.
3. Compliance, Tax & Risk Management
* Ensure compliance with local regulatory, tax, and statutory requirements across jurisdictions.
* Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, and external advisors.
* Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks.
4. Finance Operations & Process Excellence
* Drive standardization and continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting across markets.
* Enhance efficiency, transparency, and control effectiveness through process improvements and automation.
* Support finance transformation initiatives and implementation of best practices.
5. Team Leadership
* Lead and develop finance teams across the region.
* Build organizational capability and strengthen collaboration across markets.
* Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
Educational Qualifications
* Chartered Accountant (CA) is a prerequisite.
* MBA or other postgraduate qualification in finance is desirable.
Experience
* 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant controllership and finance leadership responsibility.
* Experience managing finance operations across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
* Experience in multinational and matrix organizations.
