Responsibilities
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Outreach Coordinator supports strategic initiatives for the Finger Lakes Children’s Environmental Health Center (FLCEHC). This role involves raising awareness of environmental health issues, promoting healthy living, and fostering community connections through media and outreach efforts. The position is part-time, 5-10 hours/week.
Essential Functions
1. Media Creation and Management: Develop social media content, including posts, infographics, and videos, to raise awareness and promote programs. Assist with revising guides and webinar promotions.
2. Community Outreach and Engagement: Create outreach materials, plan and moderate teen meetings, and follow up with participants.
3. Event Support and Collaboration: Organize and promote events like the Rural Lead Conference and contribute to conference presentations.
4. Support other projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Experience with media content creation and management using tools like Canva required.
* Background in community outreach and event coordination required.
* Ability to work effectively with others and handle sensitive matters required.
