Introduction
IBM is seeking a motivated communications professional with the right experience, expertise and enthusiasm to join the Corporate Affairs team in Brazil and focus on building IBM's reputation, employee engagement and market awareness.
Based in Sao Paulo, the successful candidate will independently apply their communications skills and best practices to help drive and execute internal, executive, external communications initiatives. They will collaborate across the Latin America communications team, working with agency partners, geo and market colleagues.
The successful candidate will easily collaborate with multiple and diverse internal and external stakeholders including clients, partners, subject matter experts, business leaders, journalists, influencers and employees.
*Your Role And Responsibilities*
As a Cross Communications Professional, you will execute all Communications disciplines within a geography, market, or country, acting as a steward for IBM's brand and reputation. You will provide strategic advice and counsel aimed at improving IBM's reputation among all target audiences and building brand favorability and product consideration. Core Responsibilities include:
* Working with the Brazil Communications Team Lead to design, develop and execute media relations campaigns for AI, thought leadership and client stories.
* Executive/IBMer communications projects for Brazil market GMs and support for Brazilian IBMer communications.
* Working on high-impact external communications projects: Cross-Market; Innovation Fund
* Serving as a data-driven media relations champion and working with colleagues to analyze audiences, engagement and results across internal, executive, IBMer channels to understand the impact of activities.
* Developing a deep understanding of IBM's business, technology and consulting portfolio, alongside how we partner with sales and marketing to build communications initiatives that help drive IBM's overall strategy and growth initiatives.
* Translating complex technical concepts into engaging content for all audiences.
Efficiently handling multiple projects, communications and competing priorities with an agile, dynamic prioritization mindset
*Preferred Technical And Professional Experience*
* Exposure to Media Relations: Experience working with media, IT analysts, and influencers to build relationships and secure coverage that drives business results.
* Understanding of Employee Engagement: Familiarity with developing internal communications campaigns to connect employees to the company through corporate character and values.
* Knowledge of Social Media Analytics: Exposure to tracking progress against communications measures of success using social and digital media metrics and tools.
*Required Technical And Professional Expertise:*
* Proven external communications experience
* Proven ability to operate and communicate in complex, multistakeholder, and multicultural environments – which takes effective collaboration with peers at the country, regional, and global levels, to help build, contribute to and execute creative and impactful communications plans.
* Strong writing and storytelling capability with a passion for breaking down complex topics into consumable, understandable and applicable content, including executive, client, and IBMer content.
* Collaborative, highly organized team player who is enthusiastic about partnering across teams.
* Positive can-do attitude with ability to use creativity and judgement when clearing obstacles; innovation around solutions; perseverance to fail fast and see it through to success.

* Proven experience with external communications planning and measurement
* Direct experience with enterprise technology companies, either in-house or through agency work.
* Understanding and previous application of media editorial planning and execution, executive/IBMer communications.
* Experience with AirTable, Marketo and various tools and approaches to communications measurement.

Language Skills:
Excellent verbal and written Portugese and English communications skills are a requirement. Spanish language skills are an asset.
