Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Lead Crypto Research Analyst to head our digital assets research initiative. Based remotely in Brazil, you will serve as the primary intelligence source for the executive team, identifying emerging trends, evaluating early-stage Web3 projects, and providing data-driven recommendations for capital allocation.
This is not a trading role. It is a fundamental research position focused on due diligence, risk assessment, and strategic advisory. You will help ICH navigate the complex landscape of blockchain technology, ensuring that our exposure to digital assets is compliant, secure, and aligned with long-term corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Fundamental Research & Due Diligence: Conduct deep-dive analysis of Web3 sectors (DeFi, Infrastructure, RWA, Layer 2s, Gaming). Evaluate projects based on technology, team credibility, tokenomics, and market fit.
* Investment Thesis Development: Create and maintain actionable investment theses for the CIO and Board. Identify undervalued opportunities and potential risks in the crypto market.
* On-Chain Analytics: Utilize tools like Dune Analytics, Nansen, Etherscan, and DefiLlama to verify project metrics, track user growth, monitor whale activity, and assess network health.
* Tokenomics Modeling: Analyze token distribution models, vesting schedules, inflation rates, and utility mechanisms to identify sustainable projects vs. speculative pumps.
* Executive Reporting: Prepare concise, high-impact investment memorandums and weekly market intelligence briefings for senior leadership.
* Regulatory & Risk Monitoring: Stay updated on global regulatory developments (including Brazil’s CVM guidelines, MiCA in EU, and VARA in UAE) and assess their impact on ICH’s strategy.
* Portfolio Support: Monitor existing digital asset holdings or pilot projects, providing regular performance reports and rebalancing recommendations.
Qualifications
* Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial research, equity analysis, or venture capital, with at least 2–3 years specifically focused on Crypto/Web3 assets.
* Technical Depth: Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals (consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, DeFi primitives, ZK-proofs). Ability to read technical whitepapers and audit reports.
* Analytical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling (Excel/Google Sheets) and on-chain data analysis tools (Dune, Nansen, Arkham, Glassnode). SQL or Python skills are a strong plus.
* Market Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the global crypto landscape, including key players, narratives (e.g., RWA, AI x Crypto), and market cycles.
* Communication: Exceptional written English for reporting to international executives. Portuguese is native/preferred for local coordination.
* Integrity: High ethical standards and attention to detail. You are skeptical by nature and rely on data, not hype.
Compensation & Benefits
* Competitive Salary: $105,000 - $150,000 USD per year (adjusted for experience and location).
