International Customs Data Coordinator Job Description
* Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the flow of import and export cargo in transit through Brazilian ports, ensuring seamless logistics operations.
* Validate all shipments received as Transshipment cargo and update connecting vessel information in the system to maintain accurate records.
* Monitor Brazilian cargoes in transit at other Transshipment ports, proactively identifying potential delays or issues that may impact delivery schedules.
* E nsure efficient boarding of cargoes on the first available vessel, minimizing transit times and costs.
* Foster strong working relationships with maritime and customs authorities, ensuring compliance with all managed local rules and regulations.
* Process waiver and booking requests for EBN carriers, streamlining communication and reducing administrative burdens.
* Collaborate closely with the Space Control team to optimize allocation of feeders and/or long-haul vessels, maximizing efficiency and capacity utilization.
* Proactively seek alternatives (in conjunction with the Space Control team) for cargoes in transit when the period on the Transshipment port exceeds 7 days, mitigating potential delays and ensuring timely delivery.
Requirements:
* A bachelor's degree in administration, foreign trade, or a related field is required.
* Proficiency in intermediate-level English is essential for effective communication and collaboration.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills are necessary for data analysis and reporting.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required to identify and resolve complex logistical issues.
* Experience working with government systems is highly valued, as is knowledge of customs laws and regulations.
