Job Description
As a senior tax professional, the Tax Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws while optimizing the company's tax position.
The role encompasses various responsibilities, including tax planning, reporting, and risk management. The Tax Manager will work closely with internal teams to drive efficiencies and ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all tax returns.
* The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing direct and indirect taxes, tax compliance and tax planning, ensuring compliance with current legislation and the optimization of the tax burden.
* Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all tax returns (direct and indirect taxes), including PIS/COFINS, ICMS, ISS, IRPJ/CSLL, etc.
* Monitor tax compliance processes and work closely with internal accounting and finance teams to ensure tax obligations are met.
* Manage and respond to federal, state, and municipal tax audits, including coordinating documentation and liaising with auditors and tax authorities.
* Analyze changes in tax legislation and assess potential business impacts, providing recommendations for compliance.
Requirements
To succeed as a Tax Manager, you must possess the following qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law. Advanced degree or CPA certification preferred.
* Solid experience in direct and indirect taxes, tax compliance and tax planning.
* Knowledge in Transfer Pricing and attendance to external audits.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with different stakeholders.
Language Skills
The ideal candidate must have fluency in Portuguese (native proficiency) and English (written & spoken). Fluency in other languages is an added advantage.
