As an Urban and Regional Development Specialist, you will play a key role in driving sustainable growth and development in urban and regional areas.
The position requires at least 10 years of professional experience in regional and urban development, urban buildings and social infrastructure, economic development, and disaster risk management. You should have a strong background in EU, EIB, and WB financed projects.
Key areas of expertise include:
* Urban planning, renewal, and regeneration
* Transition to climate-neutral economy and environmental sustainability
* Carbon neutral cities, land use, and transport integration
* Sustainable urban mobility plans, smart cities, and eco-districts
* Brownfield regeneration, cultural heritage, and urban/regional climate mitigation & adaptation
* Territorial governance mechanisms and partnerships, territorial just transition plans, and similar
You are also expected to have experience working with various stakeholders, including local authorities, private sector companies, and community groups.
In addition to your technical skills and experience, you should have excellent English language skills (CEFR C1).
The work location is flexible, with the option to work from NTU's office in Aalborg or remotely.
