Egis has formed Connect Plus Ltd (M25) for managing the 30-year, £6.2bn DBFO contract for the M25 motorway and surrounding arterial routes near London. We are responsible for operations, maintenance, renewals, and network improvements. About the Role The Asset Lead – Structures will report to the Asset Investment Manager within the asset investment team. This role involves working closely with the Connect Plus Team, Connect Plus Services (the O&M Company), and other stakeholders to oversee asset management activities for highways structures, including specified and strategic structures, Dartford Crossing, and tunnels. The role entails owning asset management strategies for structure assets, providing strategic guidance, supporting effective execution, and driving asset management excellence throughout the project lifecycle. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within the Project Company (SPV) of a major infrastructure project and engage with senior stakeholders, parent company, and supply chain partners. Accountabilities Oversee asset management activities for highways structure assets, including specified and strategic structures, Dartford Crossing, and tunnels. Develop and own Asset Management Strategies covering the entire lifecycle. Act as a sponsor in gateway meetings for lifecycle renewal projects, ensuring benefits are delivered within budget. Collaborate with engineering and commercial teams to optimize scope and resolve technical issues. Support technical approvals and manage departures from standards. Promote innovation, efficiency, and carbon reduction in asset management processes. Develop business cases for innovation based on asset risks and opportunities. Contribute to the Asset Management Forward Plan and Annual Asset Management Report. Understand and review Asset Management IT systems, including decision support tools. Support updates to asset management strategies, procedures, and standards, including ISO 55001 compliance. Collaborate with relevant teams to understand impacts of strategic and standard changes on asset performance. Maintain knowledge of contractual and system requirements related to asset management obligations. What do we need from you We seek a candidate with an engineering background or similar, experienced in managing large-scale infrastructure assets, preferably highways structures, from a client perspective. Chartered Engineer (ICE or equivalent) or relevant accreditation. Ability to develop, challenge, and refine Asset Management Strategies for highways structures in line with handback requirements. Decision-making skills to balance stakeholder requirements. Strong communication and presentation skills. Proactive and autonomous working style within a senior team. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. IT literacy; knowledge of Asset Management IT systems is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
