Project Manager (Remote & Contract)
As a seasoned Project Manager, you will oversee delivery execution for intricate, multi-functional initiatives within our agile engineering environment. You will act as a key liaison between business, product, and engineering stakeholders – bridging priorities into tangible outcomes, driving clarity, and ensuring timely completion with quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage comprehensive delivery plans, encompassing scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and resource allocation.
* Collaborate closely with engineering teams to coordinate work intake, backlog grooming, prioritization, and task tracking using Jira.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing transparent updates and facilitating alignment across teams.
* Identify and mitigate potential risks, resolve obstacles, and adjust plans in response to evolving priorities.
* Organize working sessions, stand-ups, planning meetings, and stakeholder workshops as necessary.
* Support informed decision-making by offering delivery insights, trade-offs, and impact analysis.
* Promote continuous improvement of delivery processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and predictability.
* Monitor and report on delivery progress using relevant metrics and tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* A minimum of 5 years of experience leading delivery for complex projects or initiatives.
* Strong background working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar).
* Hands-on experience utilizing Jira for backlog management and delivery tracking.
* Proven ability to effectively collaborate with engineering teams and business stakeholders.
* Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a client-facing role.
* Ability to navigate ambiguous environments and bring structure and clarity.
* Experience supporting prioritization, change management, and delivery trade-offs.
* Basic SQL skills and familiarity with finance or accounting concepts are a plus but not mandatory.
