Job Description
Rate of pay: $17.25/hour USD
This position involves direct contact with guests. The bartender will make drinks and take and deliver food orders in a prompt and courteous manner while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency. The bartender must enjoy working outdoors in a fast-paced atmosphere.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
* Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
* Follow outlet policies, procedures, opening/closing checklists, and service standards
* Prepare and set up the bar as required
* Assist with ordering and restocking inventory
* Assist with monthly bar inventory checks
* Maintain full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, and menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods
* Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of bar top, tables, and service areas
* Handle cash, credit, and comp procedures correctly and complete paperwork properly
* Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with regulations
* Follow food safety and sanitation policies
* Be aware of food and beverage offerings throughout the resort
* Perform other duties or projects as needed
* Complete side work as assigned by the Manager or Captain
* Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Must be able to work weekends and holidays
* Food Handlers card required
* RBS certification required
* Previous service experience is an asset
* Experience with point of sale systems is an asset
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
* Highly responsible and reliable
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
* Focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
