Responsibilities and duties
Teach classes and guide children's learning, promoting experiences based on RED HOUSE's pedagogical plan and individual needs;
Understand the school's Pedagogical Proposal, approach, and learning expectations for the specific grade;
Analyze students' progress, collect evidence, and address individual needs to improve performance;
Develop strategies with the coordination to enhance student engagement and improvement;
Implement differentiation strategies for students with learning difficulties;
Supervise Teaching Assistants in adapting activities for students with special educational needs;
Ensure student safety, observe and guide students during activities to prevent accidents;
Observe children for signs of illness or behavioral issues and take appropriate actions;
Report student behaviors and performance to the coordinator and inform families;
Manage student handovers at entrance and exit, ensuring safety;
Follow school policies and ensure Teaching Assistants do the same;
Prepare and review weekly lesson plans and display them visibly;
Maintain accurate student records and prepare report cards;
Guide the Teaching Assistant on classroom materials and organization;
Communicate with parents about student development;
Participate in professional development activities;
Manage classroom materials and student records;
Report daily occurrences related to students to the coordination;
Share relevant student information with colleagues;
Meet deadlines for reports and documentation;
Ensure safety regarding allergies and special diets;
Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors.
Qualifications and requirements
Education: Degree in Pedagogy
Minimum 5 years of classroom experience;
At least 2 years teaching primary school (ages 6-11), preferred;
Classroom management skills.
Languages: Proficiency in English
Technical Skills: Bilingualism
Desirable Knowledge: IB Methodology, Child Development
Soft Skills and Values: Digital Thinking, Caring Profile, Interpersonal Relationships, Conflict Management, Creativity
