This intermediate professional role involves partner identification, selection, and preparation, as outlined in the Partnership Management core process. The specialist develops leads through networking with local evangelical churches across denominations and other like-minded organizations, in collaboration with Partnership Facilitators and Church Facing Team members, within existing operational areas, and by representing Compassion in child and youth forums. The Partner Preparation Specialist builds relationships with potential churches, cultivates a shared vision for partnership, and prepares local churches to establish partnerships with Compassion.
Responsibilities
* Raise awareness of children's needs, prioritize child protection in all activities, and adhere to Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report concerns of abuse, neglect, or exploitation and support incident responses.
* Serve, respect, and empower the church according to Compassion’s ministry principles.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to assess geographical areas for potential partnerships, focusing on regions with the greatest need.
* Cast vision for child and youth ministry, facilitate church mobilization, and ensure active participation in mobilization activities.
* Develop relationships with potential church partners, fostering ownership and a non-dependency mentality from the outset.
* Identify potential partners based on strategic criteria, conduct interviews and assessments, and manage follow-up activities to meet partnership targets.
* Collaborate with teams to plan and execute beneficiary registration schedules and targets.
* Transition partnership relationships to Partnership Facilitators during startup milestones.
* Coordinate initial training and preparation for partnerships with relevant teams.
* Process requests for Sponsorship Launch grants for assigned churches.
* Support increased visibility with potential partners by providing input for local communication materials.
* Build and maintain strategic relationships with church alliances and denominations.
* Serve as a resource for church planting efforts at the national level.
* Participate in developing and implementing partnership strategies, selection processes, and church multiplication initiatives.
* Communicate standards related to child protection to potential partners and evaluate partnership alignment.
* Manage lead tracking and mobilize staff throughout the partnership process.
* Ensure clear understanding and signing of Partnership Agreements.
* Provide expertise and support to other professionals in partnership discipline.

Education
* Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Experience
* Minimum three years of relevant experience in this or a related field.
Physical Demands
Sitting, standing, and walking for up to 8 hours daily.
Travel Requirements
May travel up to 10% of the time.
