You will act as a keySystem Engineer, bridging operational needs with cutting-edge technologies such asrobotics, RTLS (Real-Time Locating Systems), and machine vision systemsto drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments and enjoys combiningtechnical expertise, data analysis, and project leadershipto transform warehouse operations.Key Responsibilities System Design & Implementation Design and deploy automated warehouse systems (AS/RS, conveyors, AGVs, robotic picking solutions) IntegrateRTLS solutionsfor real-time tracking of assets and inventory Lead end-to-end system architecture aligned with operational requirements Technical Optimization & Performance Analyze workflows and system performance to identify bottlenecks Implement data-driven improvements to maximize throughput and efficiency Optimize warehouse execution systems (WES), warehouse management systems (WMS), and automation tools Maintenance & Troubleshooting Monitor and ensure high availability of automation systems (robotics, sensors, vision systems) Diagnose and resolve system issues across hardware and software layers Maintain system documentation and continuous improvement processes Project Management & Delivery Lead or contribute to automation projects from concept to deployment Coordinate with cross-functional teams (operations, IT, engineering) Ensure minimal disruption to live operations during implementation Training & Change Management Support operational teams in adopting new technologies Provide training and documentation for system usage and best practices Safety & Compliance Ensure all systems comply with safety standards and industry regulations Contribute to improving workplace safety and ergonomicsRequired Qualifications 7+ years of experience inwarehouse automation, system engineering, or industrial automation Proven experience withRTLS (Real-Time Locating Systems) Strong background inmachine vision systems Hands-on experience with: WMS / WES systems Robotics, AGVs, or automated material handling systems Solid understanding ofelectro-mechanical systems, sensors, and control systems Willingness and ability to travel regularly (nationally and/or internationally) to support project deployments and client sitesNice to Have Experience inproject management(PMP or equivalent is a plus) Knowledge ofprogramming/scripting(Python or similar) Experience withdata analysis and performance optimization Background inindustrial engineering, robotics, or logistics systems Portuguese knowledgeKey Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities System-level thinking and architecture mindset Ability to work in complex, fast-paced environments Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
