Job Overview
This role involves overseeing the maintenance and administration of Windows-based systems, networks, and services. Key responsibilities include managing Active Directory, configuring DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs), as well as troubleshooting authentication and system performance issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain Active Directory infrastructure, including user and group administration, OU structure, and permissions.
* Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Windows-based services such as DNS, DHCP, DFS, and GPOs.
* Perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex technical problems related to authentication and system performance.
* Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve connectivity issues within a Windows environment.
* Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and operational procedures.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in Windows system administration, with strong knowledge of Active Directory and related services.
* Proficiency in managing DNS, DHCP, DFS, and GPOs, with solid troubleshooting skills for authentication and performance issues in Windows environments.
* Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, and IP subnetting.
* Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision.
* Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
* Multilicensed Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MSCE).
* Experience with remote desktop support tools.
* Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell is a plus).
