We are seeking an elite video editor to join our team in creating high-volume, high-converting video advertising content for a prominent Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) beauty and wellness brand.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of direct response mechanics and be able to produce scroll-stopping ads at scale. With millions of impressions monthly, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to directly drive sales across various platforms.
Responsibilities:
* Transform raw creator footage, user-generated content clips, and b-roll into persuasive short-form ads (15-90 seconds) and video sales letters that convert cold traffic into buyers.
* Craft hooks that stop thumbs in the first 3 seconds, utilizing pattern interrupts, bold claims, and visual glitches.
* Deploy engagement disruptors such as kinetic typography, callout graphics, progress bars, and emoji reactions.
* Optimize pacing for platform algorithms, ensuring optimal performance on Meta and YouTube Shorts.
* A/B test visual approaches based on performance data to continually improve ad effectiveness.
Requirements:
* Fluent English language skills are required.
* At least 2 years of experience editing for DTC/eCommerce brands, with a focus on the beauty, health, or supplements industry.
* A portfolio demonstrating direct response ads that drove conversions, showcasing successful campaigns.
* Expert-level proficiency in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, along with After Effects.
* A deep understanding of Meta/YouTube Shorts specifications and algorithm-friendly editing patterns.
* Native fluency with UGC aesthetics (raw, authentic, relatable) versus polished brand content.
* Proven ability to produce 8-12 high-quality ads per week without compromising quality.
* Critical thinking skills, with the ability to recommend new approaches, ad formats, and tools outside the box.
