About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional in urban and regional development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in areas such as regional and urban development, urban buildings and social infrastructure, economic development, and disaster risk management.

Key Responsibilities
The Urban and Regional Development Expert will be responsible for:
• Working with EU, EIB, and World Bank financed projects
• Developing expertise in specific sectors, including urban planning, urban renewal, regeneration, transition to a climate-neutral economy, and environmental sustainability
• Collaborating with a pool of experts on various EIB priorities under the framework contract
• Providing technical assistance and support to clients and stakeholders

Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• At least 10 years of professional experience in urban and regional development, urban buildings and social infrastructure, economic development, and disaster risk management
• A Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree relevant to the topic
• Excellent command of English (CEFR C1)

Sectors of Expertise
The Urban and Regional Development Expert will specialize in one or more of the following sectors:
• Urban and regional development: urban planning, urban renewal, regeneration, transition to a climate-neutral economy, and environmental sustainability
• Urban buildings and social infrastructure: urban infrastructure, municipal utilities, green buildings, business infrastructure, re-purposing of abandoned buildings, education facilities, hospital and healthcare buildings, tourism infrastructure, and shopping centers
• Economic development: tourism development, access to finance, employment creation and preservation, skills development, productive investments in large enterprises, sectorial competitiveness, industry restructuring, and clustering
• Disaster risk management: all stages of the DRM-cycle in relation to natural and man-made disasters
• Social and affordable housing: projects and programs for social and affordable housing construction and renovation, development and application of social and affordable housing finance approaches and instruments
