Business developer Director/ Head of Business Development

The Business Development Director for Brazil will drive commercial growth, develop strategic client relationships, and position Exafield as a trusted healthcare market research partner. The role combines business development, key account management, team leadership, operational coordination, and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

* Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in Brazil.
* Build and execute the local commercial strategy aligned with LATAM and global objectives.
* Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to project award.
* Achieve revenue targets and KPIs.
* Develop after-sales processes to strengthen client retention.

Client Management

* Build long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
* Serve as the main commercial contact for Brazilian clients.
* Position Exafield as a strategic partner rather than a supplier.

Operations & Delivery

* Ensure high-quality project execution and compliance with timelines.
* Coordinate with Project Managers and recruitment teams.
* Support feasibility assessments, methodology adaptation, and local execution strategies.

Leadership & Team Development

* Recruit, train, mentor, and develop local teams.
* Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Align local teams with global standards and business objectives.
* Collaborate closely with LATAM, Europe, and North America teams.

Market Intelligence & Brand Development

* Monitor market trends, client needs, and competitive activity.
* Contribute to pricing, positioning, and methodology adaptation strategies.
* Increase Exafield's visibility through conferences, client visits, LinkedIn, professional networks, thought leadership, and social media initiatives.

Profile required

* Based in Brazil (Florianopolis/open to move/ Hybrid )

Experience

* Minimum 3+ years of experience in Business Development / Sales within:
* Market Research (preferred), OR
* Healthcare / Pharma / Insights industry
* Proven track record of revenue generation and client acquisition in Brazil
* Strong understanding of healthcare market research methodologies (quant & qual)

Languages

* Fluent English (mandatory)
* Fluent Portuguese (native or equivalent)
* Spanish (highly preferred)
