Job Description:
The key objective of this role is to spearhead the development and implementation of renewable energy projects, focusing on building strong relationships with key stakeholders, identifying investment opportunities, and providing expert advice on project financing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies for renewable energy project development and investment, with a focus on optimizing returns and mitigating risks.
* Lead negotiations and deal execution for complex financial transactions, ensuring alignment with company objectives and stakeholder expectations.
* Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, assessing viability, risks, and returns, with a strong emphasis on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the renewable energy sector, informing investment decisions and driving strategic growth.
* Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including project developers, financial institutions, and government agencies, fostering collaborative partnerships and driving business success.
* Develop and implement effective portfolio management strategies, monitoring performance, identifying opportunities for growth and diversification, and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
* Provide expert guidance on project structuring, risk management, and compliance, ensuring seamless execution of transactions and adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement robust financial models, valuations, and risk assessments, supporting informed investment decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require a unique blend of skills and experience. A bachelor's degree is mandatory, while an advanced degree (MBA, CFA, CAIA) is highly desirable.
* A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience from a bank or asset management firm, preferably in renewable energy project development, investment banking, or capital markets.
* Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese, with excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas.
* Demonstrated expertise in renewable project development, private equity investment processes, and risk management, specifically within renewable energy project portfolios.
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a solid understanding of financial concepts, valuation methodologies, and ESG considerations.
* Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
* Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of training and developing high-performing teams.
