For one of our clients, a mid-sized company operating at scale, we are currently looking to hire a Senior Front End Engineer.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Front End Engineer to lead custom front-end development for a
Sitecore DXP / OrderCloud implementation. This role will be the first dedicated front-end
engineer on the project and is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy,
technical ownership, and architectural judgment.
This is not a theme-tweaking role. You will design, build, and evolve a modern headless
front end integrated with Sitecore DXP and OrderCloud APIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a custom headless front end for Sitecore DXP / OrderCloud
using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Build production-grade applications using Next.Js, with deployment targets such as
Vercel or Netlify.
- Integrate front-end applications with:
-OrderCloud APIs
-Sitecore DXP APIs
-Authentication, catalog, search, pricing, and checkout services
- Translate UX/UI designs into scalable, accessible, and performant front-end
implementations.
- Establish front-end architecture patterns, conventions, and best practices suitable
for a growing team.
- Collaborate closely with UX, product, and backend teams to ensure clean API
contracts and realistic implementation.
- Optimize performance, SEO, and Core Web Vitals for commerce use cases.
- Participate in technical decision-making around tooling, frameworks, and
deployment strategy.
- Own front-end code quality, testing approach, and release readiness.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Next.Js and React in production environments.
- Experience building headless or composable front ends for CMS or commerce
platforms.
- Solid understanding of modern front-end architecture:
-SSR, SSG, ISR
-Client vs server components
-State management patterns
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Familiarity with modern deployment platforms such as Vercel or Netlify.
- Familiarity with design systems and component-driven development.
- Comfortable working as an initial solo contributor while setting foundations for
future scale.
Preferred Experience
- Proactive use of AI-assisted code generation tools (e.G., Cursor + Claude) to:
-Accelerate development, refactoring, and prototyping.
-Design and implement automated tests (unit, integration, and E2E) for
modern front-end applications.
-Leverage Figma MCP to translate Figma designs directly into production-
ready component code, reducing design-to-implementation cycle time.
- Hands-on experience with headless CMS/commerce platforms.
- Experience working on B2B or complex eCommerce applications.
- Ability to read, understand, and modify code in adjacent front‑end frameworks such
as AngularJS or similar React‑like ecosystems.
