Brazil's payment landscape is complex, fast-moving, and full of opportunity and Antom is building the infrastructure to lead it. We're looking for a Senior Payments Manager who thrives at the intersection of relationship management and operational excellence: someone who can navigate Brazil's financial ecosystem with depth and turn strong partnerships into real payment performance.
What you'll do:
Financial institution & payment partner management
* Serve as the primary relationship owner for Antom's local payment partners in Brazil, including PIX providers, card acquirers, and Open Finance participants.
* Maintain and deepen these partnerships to ensure reliability, competitive terms, and long-term strategic alignment.
Payment performance & operations
* In close collaboration with Antom's internal operations team, monitor and improve SLAs, success rates, and KPIs across local payment methods.
* Identify performance gaps, coordinate resolution efforts with partners, and drive continuous improvement in payment reliability and conversion.
New payment method onboarding
* Scout, evaluate, and onboard new local payment methods and financial institution partners that expand Antom's capabilities in Brazil.
* Lead the end-to-end process from commercial negotiation through to technical go-live.
Cross-functional collaboration
* Act as Antom's internal Brazil payments subject-matter expert, aligning with Product, Tech, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure local solutions are properly integrated and optimized.
Regulatory awareness
* Stay ahead of Banco Central regulations, PIX rulebook updates, Open Finance developments, and card scheme rules.
* Translate regulatory changes into actionable internal recommendations and partner discussions.
Market intelligence
* Continuously map the Brazilian payments landscape — tracking competitor capabilities, emerging payment trends, and new fintech entrants to inform Antom's local strategy.
What we're looking for
* 5–8 years in payments, financial institutions partnerships, or payment operations within a fintech, bank, acquirer, payment processor, or global payments company — with a strong focus on the Brazilian market.
* Deep, hands-on knowledge of Brazil's payment ecosystem: PIX, card acquiring, and Open Finance, including its regulatory framework and key institutional players.
* Proven relationship management skills — ability to build and manage senior-level relationships with banks, acquirers, and payment institutions, including navigating complex contractual and operational discussions.
* Operational mindset — comfortable owning KPIs and SLAs, troubleshooting payment issues with technical and partner teams, and driving measurable performance improvements.
* Cross-functional communication — able to work across commercial, product, tech, and compliance teams, translating between business needs and technical requirements with ease.
* Languages: Native Portuguese and full professional English proficiency.
Preferred qualifications
* Prior experience at a global payments company, international acquirer, or cross-border payment platform operating in Brazil.
* Existing network across Brazilian financial institutions, acquirers, and Open Finance participants.
* Familiarity with API-based payment integrations and the technical fundamentals of payment processing.
* A practical approach to AI tools — using them to automate routine tasks, accelerate analysis, and improve the quality and efficiency of your own work output.
* MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
* Mandarin is a strong plus.
