**What you will do**
The Principa Scientist - Analytical R&D will lead the strategy and execution of analytical deliverables on regional Self Care (OTC) projects. This includes defining the analytical strategy, execution planning, timing, resource requirements and interdependencies to complete the project deliverables. will be part of analytical team on regional LATAM Self Care OTC (over the counter) projects. This individual will support analytical team and guarantee excellence in execution in all activities applied to Analytical Science in registration and post approval changes process.
Key Responsibilities
- Define analytical strategy for OTC (over-the-counter) products introduction and life cycle management projects in LATAM markets from R&D Analytical standpoint.
- Guarantee high technical rigor for analytical deliverables considering new product development and post-approval changes projects such as Test Method Development (or adjustment to fit local regulation), Test Method Validation, Dissolution development and solubility studies, Stability Studies, Impurity Assessments to fit local regulation, Extractables and Leachables studies, Pharmaceutical equivalence and Biowaiver rationale.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project milestones. Develop resolution proposals for analytical issues with the stakeholders.
- Mentoring of junior scientists on technical skills and best practices.
- Monitor regulatory and guideline updates, supporting analytical impact assessment ensuring compliance.
- Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders in project forums representing analytical team.
- Assessment of internal processes identifying opportunities and implementing improvements such as: organization of activities, redistribution of tasks, reduction of lead time and rework.
- Support technical due diligence assessing analytical data.
- Support deficiency letters from Health Authorities.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
**What we are looking for**
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemistry Engineering or Pharmaceutical Chemistry. MBA or master’s degree will be considered as a differential.
- At least 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in R&D Analytical
- Strong analytical background in HPLC, UPLC, GC and other analytical techniques is required.
- Experience with method validation, analytical transfer, stability studies is required.
- Strong knowledge about the regulations and/or guidelines related to method development, validation for drug products, drug substance, impurities assessments & dissolution is mandatory for this position.
