Here’s the deal, we’re growing over 30% per year and we’re looking for the Project Manager to build and lead the team production department. We’re going to skip all the clichés about this “exciting, and challenging, and fulfilling opportunity.”

Details of the Role
Vice President of Construction
Who You Will Lead
Superintendent, Project Engineer, CAD Operator and Production Department Support Team
You Will Lead the Following Department
Production Department (re-roofs, new construction, sheet metal and restoration)
Organize Department and Build Team
We want someone who makes things happen on a daily basis. Your responsibility will be to organize and build a world‑class commercial roofing construction department. The following daily duties outline the core activities:

Manage all phases of the projects (roofing, sheet metal, service department)
Schedule all projects, manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, warranties, and all close‑out documents
Study project specifications and blueprints to plan procedures for construction based on start and completion times, staffing requirements, and materials for each phase of construction
Confere with and direct superintendents, office support staff, safety manager, workers and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work
Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adheres to the construction schedule

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science and Management or equivalent. MBA preferred.
5 years as a commercial roofing project manager.
Proven track record of building high‑performance teams.
Technical training and team development programs that are effective.
Advanced user of technologies for project management, job cost and scheduling.
Servant leader who loves building people and things.
Ability to negotiate without being adversarial.
Strong proactive communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively are critical.

What You Will Own
As our Project Manager (PM), you will be driving strategy through culture and employee loyalty. You’ll co‑create, design, develop, implement and assess project management procedures, quality control and safety methods to support Castro Roofing’s Strategic Business Plan. One of your main focuses will be to hire, lead and fire to Castro’s vision.
You will schedule all production projects, ensure the success of all the crews and deliver the “wow” experience of our clients. You will be in charge of day‑to‑day operations and the financial well‑being of all roofing projects.
Track the Client Experience and Follow Up
You need to be organized and serious about taking notes and following up. You’re the type of person who does what you say you’ll do and never makes hollow promises. A huge part of that is remembering the promises you make and why you made them.
You have superpowers when it comes to scheduling projects and people to maximize time and money. You execute the work with excellence and a high sense of urgency. You don’t understand procrastination because you are not one.
