About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Web Analytics Specialist to lead our data governance and analytics implementation initiatives. This role will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, consistent web data collection, building scalable reporting views, and translating business needs into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
* Data Layer Governance:
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive Data Layer governance framework to ensure consistency and accuracy across platforms.
* Define data standards, documentation, and quality assurance processes.
Implementation & Optimization:
* Implement Data Layer in existing legacy views and ensure seamless integration with analytics tools (e.G., GA4, GTM, etc.).
* Collaborate with developers and product teams to validate data tracking and ensure business KPIs are captured correctly.
Analytics & Reporting:
* Create and manage first analytics views and dashboards in Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio).
* Visualize key metrics and performance indicators for different stakeholders.
Business Understanding:
* Partner with business and marketing teams to understand data needs, define metrics, and develop measurement frameworks.
* Translate business objectives into quantifiable KPIs and analytical insights.
Requirements
* 4+ years of experience in Web Analytics or Digital Analytics.
* Strong expertise in Google Tag Manager, GA4 (Google Analytics 4), and Looker Studio.
* Experience designing and maintaining data layers across complex digital environments.
* Deep understanding of data governance, validation, and tracking methodologies.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to translate technical data concepts for business teams.
Nice to Have
* Experience with JavaScript and front-end implementation debugging.
* Familiarity with BI tools beyond Looker Studio (e.G., Power BI, Tableau).
* Exposure to CDPs (Customer Data Platforms) or server-side tagging.
