What's The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the trading desk, supporting the team on market risk management, credit process related, deal entry, and P&L sign off.
This role will be the Focal Point for Shell Energy Brazil's Trading Desk control.What You'll Be DoingAs a Trading Desk Analyst, you will be responsible for the following duties:Adhering to Shell's Business Principles, market Regulations, and contributing to and maintaining a culture of ComplianceTo ensure all the trading transactions and exposures are represented accordingly in the Shell's systemsTo ensure all the trading transactions are in accordance with pre-established risk parametersCollaboration with gas and power trading, operations, and sales/origination teamsContributing to and ensuring alignment with Shell Energy Brazil and Shell Energy Americas' overall goals and strategiesInteracting with other support functions in the organization such as Finance, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and Market RiskKnowledge of the developing Brazilian Domestic Gas market and an understanding of the fundamentals that drive itKnowledge of the Brazilian Power Trading market and an understanding of the fundamentals that drive itCollaboration with the financial trade group to understand exposure management of long dated derivative exposures that the trade book will carryWhat You BringMust have legal authorization to work in Brazil on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employerBachelor's degree in Math, Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, or related fieldMinimum one (1) year of experience with market risk at a trading business (power trading), banking, or in any work-related fieldFluency in both Portuguese and EnglishExcellent analytical and quantitative skills, understanding of financial modelingGood interpersonal skillsRespect for colleagues, and the ability to work as a part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.Extensive spreadsheet management skills (Excel, Power BI)Database management and programming skills are a benefit to this roleKindly submit your resume in both Portuguese and EnglishWhat We OfferYou bring your skills and experience to Shell and in return you work with talented, committed people on one of the most important challenges facing our planet.
