Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned data engineering professional to lead the development and delivery of high-performance, scalable data solutions. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining complex data integration and analytics systems.
Our ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle performance tuning, including query optimization, execution plans, indexes, partitioning, and parallelism. Additionally, they will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor team members and collaborate effectively with DBAs, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Optimizing query and database performance to meet strict service level agreements (SLAs)
* Analyzing execution plans and recommending indexing, partitioning, and optimization strategies
* Partnering with DBAs to validate and implement tuning recommendations
* Overseeing ETL/ELT workflows, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and data quality
* Leveraging AWS services for ingestion, transformation, and storage
* Leading and mentoring the team, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement
Required Skills and Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in data engineering within enterprise-scale environments
* Expertise in Oracle performance tuning, including query optimization, execution plans, indexes, partitioning, and parallelism
* Hands-on experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
* Expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
* Experience in data warehouse design, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling
* Proven leadership experience, including team mentoring and technical guidance
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with DBAs, technical teams, and business stakeholders
