Audio Editing Specialist
This role involves working closely with the content team to maintain brand consistency and meet deadlines efficiently. As an audio editing specialist, you will be responsible for editing podcast audio files, enhancing sound quality, implementing sound design, adding music, and ensuring overall quality control for each episode.
The ideal candidate will have a strong editorial judgment, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions precisely. They will also be comfortable working with physician and expert-level conversations, and have experience with tools like Descript, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic, or similar.
Prior experience in podcast production is a plus, but not required. The successful candidate will have a background in audio engineering, media production, or a related field, and be able to work independently, communicate effectively with teams, and meet deadlines.
We are looking for someone who can deliver high-quality output, with fast, reliable turnaround times, and clear, professional communication.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
1. Edit raw podcast audio into polished, broadcast-ready episodes
2. Remove filler words, false starts, redundancies, and off-topic tangents
3. Improve pacing, clarity, and flow without changing the speaker's voice or intent
4. Restructure sections when needed based on how questions were answered
5. Insert intro/outro, sponsor reads, disclaimers, or updates when required
6. Follow embedded audio notes and written instructions carefully
7. Deliver clean final WAV/MP3 files on deadline
8. Produce 3–4 short clips per episode for marketing use
9. Support up to two rounds of edits per episode when requested
We offer a range of benefits, including the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, and to develop your skills and expertise in the field of audio editing. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for audio editing, we encourage you to apply.
