Job Title: Resource Manager
The Role of the Resource Manager is crucial in ensuring that Professional Services teams are properly staffed, aligned, and equipped to meet project timelines and business objectives. This role involves close collaboration with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Regional Managers, Senior Directors of Professional Services, Customer Success, and Sales to efficiently manage resources, balance workloads, and ensure smooth project delivery.
In this capacity, the Resource Manager plays a pivotal role in identifying, assigning, and allocating resources to ongoing and upcoming projects based on skills, availability, and priorities. They maintain a real-time view of resource capacity and project needs across the organization, serving as the primary point of contact for project staffing and collaborating with Sales and Regional Managers to ensure proper coverage for upcoming engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Resource Planning and Allocation
o Project Staffing
+ Identify consultants with the necessary skills and experience to meet project requirements.
+ Assign consultants to projects based on their availability and skill set.
o Capacity Management
+ Maintain a real-time view of resource capacity and project needs.
+ Ensure adequate resource allocation to meet project timelines and business objectives.
* Forecasting and Talent Management
o Talent Acquisition
+ Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, Regional Managers, and leadership to forecast future resource requirements.
+ Identify talent gaps and recommend cross-training, recruitment, or subcontracting needs based on upcoming opportunities.
o Professional Development
+ Support long-term workforce planning and professional development of consultants.
+ Monitor workload balance across consultants to ensure optimal utilization.
* Process Optimization and Tool Management
o Tool Development
+ Develop and maintain tools, dashboards, and reports to monitor utilization, productivity, and performance.
o Process Improvement
+ Establish and enforce consistent processes for resource requests and assignments to maximize efficiency.
* Daily Operational Responsibilities
o New Engagement Intake
+ Review new projects pulled from Salesforce into Wrike.
+ Confirm all project metadata: customer, region, product, estimated hours, and key contacts.
o Assignment & Scheduling
+ Match consultants to projects based on skill set, availability, and regional needs.
+ Assign both primary and secondary consultants and confirm schedules with stakeholders.
o System Sync and Integration Oversight
+ Cross-reference Salesforce ß Wrike and Wrike ß NetSuite mappings to ensure accuracy.
+ Validate billing fields (sold-to ID, billing trigger, engagement type) and confirm correct syncing.
