Senior IT Service Management Expert
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer with extensive ITOM experience to lead the development and enhancement of our ServiceNow platform.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT service management principles and be able to design, develop, and implement complex ServiceNow ITOM solutions including CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
Responsibilities:
* Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement complex ServiceNow ITOM solutions including CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
* Configuration and Customization: Experience with configuring and customizing ServiceNow applications and modules.
* Integration and Development: Lead development of integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
* Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
* Testing and Deployment: Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
* Code Reuse and Best Practices: Provide solutions that utilize most out-of-the-box features without requiring customizations. Facilitate the reuse of code, components, and proven patterns; Influence common modeling, design, and coding practices.
* Upgrade Testing: Perform upgrade testing by validating customizations, configurations, and integrations across major and minor ServiceNow releases.
* Automated Test Framework: Develop and maintain Automated Test Framework (ATF) test suites to validate core ServiceNow functionalities, ensuring stability and reducing manual regression efforts.
* Troubleshooting and Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues.
* Documentation and Maintenance: Maintain documentation for development and configuration.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
* Experience: 5-7 years of ServiceNow development experience with a focus on ITOM.
* Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, Service Mapping, and Integrations. Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Glide API, REST/SOAP integrations, and ServiceNow scripting.
* Automation and DevOps: Experience with automation and DevOps practices, familiarity with continuous integration (CI/CD), code versioning tools such as Git, and Agile principles.
* Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish strong relationships internally and externally.
* Certifications: Desired certifications include Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery, and Certified Implementation Specialist - Service Mapping.
