Candidates based in Portugal, Spain, and Brazil are encouraged to apply.What You Will DoShort‑form and social‑first editingEdit and produce high‑volume, high‑quality short‑form content for Darkroom across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and X.Build “thumb‑stopping” edits that land quickly, hold attention, and deliver one clear takeaway.Pull the strongest moments from raw footage, podcasts, webinars, events and internal shoots, then shape them into tight narratives.Create platform‑specific versions of the same concept, including aspect ratio variations and multiple hooks for testing.Deliver A and B variants to support creative learning and performance optimization.Mixed media and motion designDesign and animate motion elements that elevate social edits, including kinetic typography, graphic transitions, and lightweight compositing.Build mixed media layouts that combine video, stills, screen recordings, overlays, and design assets into one cohesive piece.Develop reusable motion templates that speed up production without sacrificing quality.Maintain strong design taste so motion and visuals align with Darkroom branding.End‑to‑end ownershipTake a reference, script, brief, or rough direction and run with it independently.Manage projects from first cut to final export, including file organization and archiving for future reuse.Collaborate with marketing, strategy, and creative leadership, while staying comfortable making calls when direction is loose.Anticipate bottlenecks and propose clear solutions before they become problems.Hit deadlines consistently without letting quality slip.Social and performance awarenessStay close to what is working on social right now, including trends, pacing, formats, and editing language.Make creative decisions with performance and aesthetics in mind.Use basic performance signals to inform how you cut, structure and hook content over time.AI and workflow accelerationKeep up with emerging tools that can speed up production, like transcription, captioning, audio cleanup, and smart cutdowns.Adopt tools when useful, while keeping final output polished and human.You Are a Great Fit If YouYou have 3+ years of editing experience, with a real portfolio of short‑form work.You can edit video and design motion in a way that feels native to social platforms.You have strong mixed media instincts, balancing video, typography, and graphics without clutter.You think like a producer.
