Descrição do emprego Responsabilities: Main responsabilities of this role: - Participating in the identification of potential hazards and assessing associated risks to define safety goals and objectives for the brake system module. - Developing the Functional Safety Concept and Technical Safety Concept, which outline strategies and mechanisms to achieve safe states and mitigate risks. - Deriving, defining, and documenting detailed safety requirements at the system, software, and hardware levels, ensuring traceability and adherence to safety goals. - Performing in-depth safety analyses such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis (FMEDA). - Defining and executing safety verification and validation plans and test specifications to ensure the successful implementation of safety features and that the required safety has been achieved. - Creating and maintaining all necessary safety documentation, including safety plans, safety cases, and technical design documents, to ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 26262). - Client communication and reporting Qualificações Technical qualifications: - B. S. or higher in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering or equivalent. - 1-3 years of proven experience in functional safety engineering or system safety, with practical application of industry-specific standards. - Deep knowledge of functional safety principles, safety lifecycles, and analysis methodologies (HARA, FMEA, FTA). - Expertise in relevant safety standards such as ISO 26262. - Familiarity with safety analysis and requirements management tools (e.g., Medini Analyse). - Professional certifications such as TÜV SÜD or TÜV Rheinland Functional Safety Professional (FSCP) are highly valued. - Basic understanding of the overall brake system. Personal qualifications: - Proficient in spoken and written English. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities to assess complex systems and identify potential hazards. - Good communication and team-working skills. - Hard-working and flexible mindset.
