Position: Procurement AssociateLocation: RemoteContract Position We are seeking a Tactical Buyer / Procurement Specialist with hands-on experience in direct materials or purchased finished goods, ideally within nonwovens, personal care products, or tissue products.SummaryIn this role, you will support procurement operations with a strong focus on supply continuity, order processing, and project execution. You will troubleshoot purchase order issues, coordinate with internal partners, and work closely with suppliers to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.Commercial negotiations and contract ownership remain with the Category Manager(s); this role is primarily administrative and transactional with significant stakeholder and supplier interaction.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and troubleshoot purchase orders, including resolving pricing discrepancies, delivery delays, invoicing or payment issues, and quality concerns.Monitor and support raw material supply mitigations and other supply continuity activities.Serve as a liaison between business teams, Procurement, and suppliers for projects and orders.Maintain structured, accurate records across systems, documents, and trackers.Build and maintain effective supplier relationships, ensuring alignment on expectations, performance metrics, and scorecards.Proactively identify opportunities for supplier collaboration and process improvements.Use ERP systems (SAP, Coupa) and Microsoft Office to manage orders, scorecards, reports, and other procurement activities.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support project timelines and deliverables.Apply basic project management principles to track progress, flag risks, and help drive issue resolution.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Tactical Buyer or in a similar procurement role.Background in Procurement supporting direct materials or purchased finished goods (nonwoven, personal care, or tissue products a plus).Experience working with suppliers/vendors and handling supplier communications.Experience with ERP systems required; SAP or Coupa experience strongly preferred (Coupa highly valued).Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Project management experience or exposure is a plus
