The project: We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Back-end Developer for this fully remote opportunity to work with a US-based client in the mortgage insurance field. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing robust and scalable backend solutions, has a deep understanding of software design principles, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java back-end systems using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 2+.
2. Implement and enforce OOP principles, design patterns, and best coding practices.
3. Develop and optimize database solutions with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
4. Build microservices and implement communication patterns across distributed systems.
5. Utilize Hibernate for ORM and data persistence.
6. Leverage containerization technologies like Docker or Podman for deployment and scaling.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions with AWS cloud services.
8. Write and maintain high-quality unit tests using JUnit 5, Cucumber, and Mockito.
9. Use Git for version control and ensure seamless collaboration with team members.
Requirements:
10. 5+ years of professional experience in Java back-end development.
11. Proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Boot 2+.
12. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
13. Hands-on experience with Hibernate and database management (both RDBMS and NoSQL).
14. Expertise in building and maintaining microservices architectures.
15. Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker or Podman.
16. Basic knowledge of AWS services and deployment.
17. Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit 5, Cucumber, and Mockito.
18. Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for clean, maintainable code.
