Responsibilities and assignments
CBSP, Huete NR13
We are looking for professional to work as Boiler and Utility Operator in an Offshore opportunity.
To develop activities such as:
To assist, operate and maintain all machinery / auxiliary machinery connected with the operations of the Engine Room systems as requested by Engine room supervisor. Report to Engine Room Supervisor in case of any abnormality encountered during the task routine.
Operate the Steam system in a safe and efficient manner;
To be in compliance with all training defined by Modec and qualification requested
Regularly shall inspect and maintain all equipment of the Steam system in good condition of operation to guarantee the efficiency and safety;
To register any anomaly in the log book and safety book as requested by NR 13 to all equipment classified as NR 13 that shall be in compliance with the rules defined in its safety book. As well as to inform the equipment inspector about that;
To keep all data control updated and controlled;
To keep your workstation safety, clean and organized;
Ensure that all of equipment used, workshops, work areas, are always maintained in a clean and tidy condition, including chemical and paint areas;
To carry out chipping and painting as required.
To check and record water tanks, fuel oil and other tanks ullages and quantity as defined by the Maintenance Superintendent or when requested;
Assist during internal transfer of fuel oil.
Assist during tanks bunkering operations and ensure they are conducted in accordance with rules and regulations.
Perform the water analysis and chemicals adjust requested to keep quality of operation;
Assist in all operations of the ship’s boilers and equipment associates, when applicable;
To guarantee boiler operation is always assisted and monitored during its operation, when applicable. As well as to know where are all documentation and the operation manual;
Inspect the existing system for leaks, corrosion as well as advise the engine room supervisor about any irregularities found;
Attend safety meetings when required, and to participate in the investigation of accidents and incidents;
Ensure that the system of permission to work (PTW) is available and approved by all responsible. As well as all recommendations are implemented, as example: All areas are isolates in conformity with the isolation procedures of MODEC;
Carry out any additional tasks inside your professional competence when requested by the Engine room supervisor or head of crew;
Ensure that maintenance work is carried out in a safe and responsible manner, and in compliance with requirements and provisions of safety and corporate management system;
Safeguarding the welfare of yourself and fellow crewmembers;
Ensure that all activity is being carried out inside of MODEC HSEQ policies, as : The emergency response duties, theModec HSEQ Policy, MODEC Management System Rules and Responsibilities are clearly understood.
Requirements
Tecnical Degree and/or Oiler
Previous experience as Utility Operator
BST, Huet and NR13
