Role Context Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a South America Human Resources Director to provide strategic and operational leadership across the region. This is a permanent role, responsible for leading all aspects of the HR agenda while continuing to strengthen a scalable, compliant, and process‑oriented operating model aligned with global standards. The HR Director will serve as a key member of the regional leadership team, translating global people strategies into effective local execution, strengthening governance and compliance, and building HR capabilities that support sustainable growth across South America. Role Purpose The South America HR Director will lead the full scope of human resources across the region, ensuring strong day‑to‑day operations while driving longer‑term transformation. The role requires a balance of hands‑on execution, strategic leadership, and partnership with regional and global stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee all HR functions across South America, ensuring alignment with Cushman & Wakefield’s global HR strategy. Serve as a strategic partner to regional leadership, supporting business objectives through effective people strategies. Adapt and implement global HR policies to local market requirements, ensuring compliance with regional labor laws and standards. Drive the evolution toward a more process‑oriented and scalable HR operating model, improving efficiency while avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy. Strengthen governance through the design and implementation of clear compliance policies, procedures, and controls. Ensure excellence and consistency in core HR operations, including employee relations, compensation, benefits, payroll oversight, and workforce administration. Harmonize HR practices across Latin America to improve consistency, transparency, and alignment with global standards. Lead and support change management initiatives, including organizational changes, leadership transitions, and cultural alignment. Oversee talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives across the region. Address complex employee relations matters, compliance risks, and sensitive workforce issues with sound judgment and discretion. Foster a cohesive, inclusive, and values‑driven culture aligned with Cushman & Wakefield’s long‑term goals. Build, lead, and develop the regional HR team, strengthening capability and engagement. Candidate Profile Experience: 10–15 years of progressive senior HR leadership experience within multinational organizations; experience in real estate, professional services, or similarly complex environments strongly preferred. Regional Expertise: Deep knowledge of labor laws, HR practices, and cultural nuances across South America, with experience leading HR across multiple countries. Global–Local Translator: Proven ability to translate global HR strategies into effective local execution while balancing consistency and market needs. Process & Compliance Orientation: Strong capability to design and optimize HR policies, processes, and compliance frameworks that drive efficiency and scalability. Change Leadership: Demonstrated success leading organizations through transformation, including organizational redesign, leadership changes, and cultural initiatives. Talent & Workforce Leadership: Experience overseeing talent acquisition, succession planning, performance management, and employee development. Risk & Crisis Management: Ability to manage sensitive and urgent HR issues, including employee disputes, compliance risks, and operational disruptions. Languages: Fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese is required. Leadership Style: Collaborative, credible, and results‑oriented leader who builds trust quickly with senior stakeholders. Communication: Strong executive communication skills with the ability to align regional priorities with global strategy.
