Role Overview
The Staff Business Control Officer plays a pivotal role in bolstering various business units by proactively managing risks. This involves striking a balance between risk and business priorities, leading by example, and supporting teams to adhere to standards and safeguard the company's and stakeholders' interests.
Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluate functions/BUs to ensure they manage risks effectively through process understanding, control environment identification, and efficiency driving across lines of defense.
* Assess and align functions/BUs with internal and external regulatory and risk requirements to foster stronger governance, focusing on product and feature development.
* Develop KPIs to monitor programs and guarantee functions/BUs meet established targets.
As a Business Control Officer You Will:
* Support/coordinate the business in managing First Line Risk Management activities.
* Establish relevant governance while maintaining an efficient and non-bureaucratic approach.
* Define and rate the internal control & risk environment.
* Proactively identify risk areas and tackle remediation activities.
* Add a risk lens to strategy and product development.
* Drive and complete documentation activities to minimize single point sensitivities and conduct process mapping.
