Mission
Changeover of the production tools as quickly and safely as possible. Moulds going out must be kept in good conditions for next production, and mould going on should be producing without issues in normal conditions, following injection parameters recorded for that concrete tool.
General Functions
Check production schedule in the beginning of the shift, to know tools changeovers needed, and prepare them in advance, ensuring raw material will be dry and ready on time.
Responsible for the pre‑set up area; preheating cooling and/or hot runner of the tool, if it applies, before fitting it into the injection machine, in order to win some time.
Responsible for keeping the smed cart complete and in good condition.
Verify that parameters of outgoing mould are OK according to the injection parameters sheet for the tool, otherwise report changes and reasons, recording well the new parameters for the next production with that tool.
Collect last parts produced that are OK.
Verify that status of ongoing mould is OK for production.
Fit the mould in the machine, connecting pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, cooling; also connect ejection of the tool and ensuring a right and safe clamping.
Introduce the injection parameters and check if quality of the part is OK; otherwise adjust parameters until getting OK for production from the Quality Engineer, under supervision of the Injection Master and registering all changes in the official injection parameters.
Responsible for the setup tool book; keeping it always updated and at disposal of production when the tool is working.
Report any incidence with robot, hands, injection machine, tool or any peripheral.
Guarantee fulfillment of the Health and Safety policies and procedures in the area of responsibility.
Observe Ficosa's Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices.
Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the related training.
Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting and improving the OHSE and Quality department.

Additional training: Injection, pneumatic, hydraulic, Mechanics, basic electricity, moldflow. Basic machinings in toolshop. Basic training in health and safety, and environmental management.
