Duties and Responsibilities Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming materials and products, verifying the accuracy of quantities and quality. Inspect deliveries for damages or discrepancies, and report any issues promptly. Coordinate with suppliers and the quality assurance team to address concerns related to incoming materials, finished product and product recalls. Coordination of Shipments: Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of feed mill products. Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels. Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize transportation routes and minimize shipping costs. Inventory Transactions: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory transactions. Update inventory management systems to reflect incoming and outgoing materials. Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile system data with actual stock levels. Collaboration with Suppliers and Logistics Partners: Communicate with suppliers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues. Collaborate with logistics partners to ensure smooth and efficient transportation of materials and finished products. Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and logistics providers. Any other duties assigned by the Inventory Manager or his designate. Requirements: Previous Experience: Proven experience in receiving and dispatch roles, preferably in an industrial or feed mill setting. Familiarity with the specific challenges of handling materials in a feed mill environment. Knowledge of Inventory Management Systems: Proficiency in using inventory management systems to record and track transactions. Ability to navigate and extract information from databases and software used in inventory control. Strong Organizational and Communication Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage incoming and outgoing materials efficiently. Effective communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic work environment. Attention to Detail and Accuracy in Record-Keeping: Meticulous attention to detail in inspecting materials and preparing shipping documentation. Accuracy in maintaining records and documentation related to inventory and shipments.
