We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant with strong experience in construction accounting to support financial operations across multiple projects.
This role requires someone who is highly organized, experienced in industry-specific processes, and comfortable working with project teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage project-level accounting, including budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting
* Prepare and process AIA pay applications and track progress billing
* Monitor project costs, job costing, and variance analysis
* Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks
* Collaborate with project managers to ensure budgets and financials are aligned
* Handle accounts payable and receivable related to construction projects
* Reconcile accounts and ensure timely month-end close processes
* Support compliance with contract terms and financial requirements
Requirements
* Proven experience in construction accounting
* Strong knowledge of AIA billing and pay applications
* Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
* Experience using Procore or similar construction management software
* Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
* High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Nice to Have
* Experience working with U.S.-based construction companies
* Familiarity with lien waivers, retainage, and subcontractor billing
* Advanced Excel skills
