The senior system engineer designs, documents, and implements server, desktop, storage, and other datacenter technologies and processes and ensures division and facility-based systems adhere to security, user access and configuration policies. This position works very closely with other corporate, division and facility technical personnel to coordinate the implementation and ongoing support of systems physically hosted at the division data center and facility locations. The Systems Engineer, Infrastructure III also provides support for problem management escalations which cannot be resolved by the service desk or other technical analysts.Essential ResponsibilitiesLeads the design and architecture of secure and scalable VSI solutions for the entire enterpriseDesign, development, implementation and support of the VSI environmentManages data collection, reporting, and trending for critical devices and componentsParticipates in, and leads as needed, technical implementation projects and initiativesAssess emerging industry trends; anticipate and develop strategic solutionsProvides Tier III support for all infrastructure componentsMakes technical decisions regarding the configuration of IT solutions.
