Senior WordPress Developer
We are seeking a skilled Senior WordPress Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-performance membership websites.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecting, building, and optimizing membership websites on WordPress using MemberPress as the core membership engine. They will design and implement custom plugins, shortcodes, API integrations, and backend features to meet client business needs.
In addition, they will conduct full-stack performance audits and implement optimizations to improve Core Web Vitals and user experience. The successful candidate will also collaborate closely with design and marketing teams to advise on technical feasibility and suggest scalable solutions.
* Architect, build, and optimize membership websites on WordPress using MemberPress as the core membership engine.
* Design and implement custom plugins, shortcodes, API integrations, and backend features to meet client business needs.
* Conduct full-stack performance audits and implement optimizations to improve Core Web Vitals and user experience.
* Collaborate closely with design and marketing teams to advise on technical feasibility and suggest scalable solutions.
The successful candidate will own deployment workflows, version control, and environment management across staging and production instances. They will also proactively identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, or security risks and recommend long-term solutions.
A key aspect of this role is writing clear documentation for technical configurations, processes, and support handoffs. The ideal candidate will also participate in code reviews, feedback cycles, and technical discussions with the broader engineering team.
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, fully aligned with Eastern Time Zone (ET).
