Independent customer success business development specialist

We are seeking an independent consultant to support delivering services that combine customer success expertise with business development activities. This position is responsible for facilitating onboarding and enablement sessions for customers, providing guidance to help them realize the full value of our solutions, and maintaining strong relationships across multiple levels within client organizations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in solution-based sales and consultative engagement, as well as strong ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights. They will be skilled in relationship building across organizational levels and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key responsibilities include:

* Facilitating onboarding and enablement sessions for customers
* Providing guidance to help customers realize the full value of our solutions
* Maintaining strong relationships across multiple levels within client organizations

Additionally, the consultant will be responsible for identifying opportunities to grow, retain, and cross-sell within existing accounts, developing a pipeline of new business opportunities in the assigned territory, and conducting prospecting activities, including calls, emails, and presentations.

The consultant will also deliver compelling presentations and messaging to build awareness of our solutions, support marketing activities such as workshops, seminars, and industry events, and represent us at conferences and trade shows as agreed.

Required qualifications include:

* Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (preferred)
* Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, account management, customer success, and business development
* English fluency (written and spoken); Portuguese required; Spanish is a plus
* Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce) and virtual meeting tools (Teams, Zoom, WebEx)
* Dynamic, proactive, and collaborative mindset

Preferred qualifications include:

* Proven success in solution-based sales and consultative engagement
* Strong ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights
* Skillset in relationship building across organizational levels
* Familiarity with scientific information tools and intellectual property solutions (preferred)

This is an independent consulting engagement. The consultant will be responsible for all taxes, insurance, and business expenses. Duration, deliverables, and compensation will be agreed upon in the consulting contract.
