We are currently hiring for a division of the company which focuses on providing services to law firms across the United States.We are seeking a bilingual professional to join our Translations Department in a dual-capacity role. The ideal candidate will serve as an in-house Spanish-into-English OR Portuguese-into-English translator, handling daily document translation tasks, while also providing project management support, including covering a Project Manager during periods of absence and independently managing a few translation projects.This position is well suited to someone who combines strong linguistic precision with organizational skills and a solid understanding of certified translation standards for immigration, legal, and official documentation.Key Responsibilities:-Translation (Primary Function)- Translate Spanish-language OR Portuguese-language documents into English on a daily basis, including birth certificates, marriage certificates, diplomas, academic transcripts, identification documents, legal contracts, and immigration records.- Maintain accuracy, consistency, and appropriate register across all document types.- Apply quality assurance procedures, including self-review and adherence to departmental style guides.- Assist with post-editing machine-translated content (MTPE) when applicable.-Project Coordination (Secondary Function)- Act as the primary point of contact for project management duties when a Project Manager is out of office.- Manage translation projects from intake to delivery, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.- Coordinate with translators, reviewers, and external vendors;
assign tasks and track progress.- Monitor project timelines, communicate status updates to clients, and flag potential delays proactively.Requirements:-Education & Language- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Spanish OR Portuguese, or a related field (required).- Near-native or native proficiency in Spanish OR Portuguese (required);
native or near-native English proficiency (required).- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, fluent certified translations for official use.-Experience- Minimum 2 years of professional translation experience, specifically Spanish-to-English OR Portuguese-to-English.-Skills & Competencies- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to translation accuracy.- Strong organizational and time-management skills;
