As a Section Manager, you will be responsible for implementing quality, range and freshness standards of offered goods to attract customers and achieve set sales targets.
You will monitor competitor activities, negotiate internal promotions with suppliers, and oversee the establishment of a competitive assortment offer.
Main Responsibilities:
* Store Strategy Development and Implementation:
o Monitor competitor pricing, range, and promotional activities to ensure a competitive advantage.
o Negotiate internal promotions with suppliers to enforce the image of value within the section.
o Oversee the creation of a competitive product offering.
o Stay informed about competition activities in the store's catchment area and take necessary measures.
* Commercial Performance:
o Oversee commercial policy agreed for the store pricing.
o Ensure the efficient use and profitability of departmental assets.
o Oversee product assortment in the section.
o Support comparative studies within the section that contribute to commercial efficiency.
* Merchandise and Stock Management:
o Provide inputs on price image and freshness image.
o Ensure proper stock management (stock value, control out-of-stock levels, orders, and merchandise deliveries).
o Initiate initiatives to minimize waste and shrinkage.
o Control orders and follow up on deliveries.
o Control the display of new products while maintaining visual merchandising.
o Control merchandiser attendance and performance.
* Store Service Functions:
o Enforce safety, health, and security protocols as per company standards and regulations.
o Implement security and hygiene procedures for assets and employees in the section.
o Ensure the team delivers excellent customer service when answering questions and promoting sales.
o Implement company policies and protect company assets.
