We’re looking for a Public Relations Coordinator to join our team. You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and, when necessary, executing strategies for media and stakeholder engagement, strengthening the brand’s reputation with the press and other relevant audiences, working across different client accounts, and supporting the day-to-day of the PR manager.
Main Responsibilities
- Team Coordination
Work collaboratively with external communications teams, guiding and contributing to the effective execution of daily tasks such as planning, press release distribution, pitch suggestions, article production, meeting notes and agendas, reports, and other PR-related routines.
- Strategic PR Planning
Develop and implement institutional communication plans focused on public relations initiatives.
- Press and Media Management
Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, columnists, and media outlets.
Review, guide, and, when needed, write and distribute press releases, official statements, and institutional articles.
Guide and coordinate interviews, media briefings, press conferences, and media training for spokespeople.
- Crisis Management
Act proactively and reactively in reputation crisis situations, developing contingency plans and public response strategies.
- Institutional Relations
Guide and promote engagement efforts with partners, trade associations, government bodies, and other stakeholders.
Represent the company at events, talks, trade fairs, and strategic forums.
- Events and Brand Activations
Support or lead corporate events, inaugurations, awards, roadshows, and institutional actions involving brand image.
- Reputation Monitoring
Track and analyze media and social media mentions of the company, producing brand image performance reports.
Use clipping and media monitoring tools to report on PR campaign results.
Requirements
- Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, or Social Communication.
- Proven prior experience in leadership or coordination roles in PR.
- Established relationships with the press.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Good communication and ability to work with different teams and clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong skills in crisis management and institutional positioning.
- Comfortable with fast-paced environments and multitasking.
- Knowledge of PR tools (e.G., I’Max, PressManager, Google Alerts, etc.).
- Fluent in Portuguese and English.
