- HSE & Quality: Ensure TotalEnergies EP Brazil compliance to the legislative and internal requirements relating to HSE and that all R&D activities conducted in Brazil are carried out with fully acceptable level of HSE.
- Ensure that the requirements of the E&P Referential (Charters, Company Rules and Specifications) and TotalEnergies EP Brazil’s Company Management System CMS are complied with.
- Ensure an effective and strong interaction with OneTech RD Power.
- Ensure technical, budget and planning’s follow up of the signed projects. Get annual approvals of the different committees (COT, COS, technical progress meeting etc.).
- Participate as technical duet in contracts negotiations of the scouted topics and ensure contracts are signed on due time.
- Monitor technology development by competition, vendors, and Academia; keep OneTech RD Power informed on its impact.
- Identify, propose, and develop R&D collaborations & projects with universities, laboratories, Providers, Oil & Gas partners.
- Justify proposal of new projects (cost / CFR / technical). Analyse and evaluate current ones on a yearly basis for continued funding.
- Ensure ANP documentation is established with good quality (and as per ANP regulations) and submitted to ANP on time.
- Issue timely R&D reports.
- Develop and coordinate renewable energies projects with Accredited Institutions and Brazilian Companies.
- The collaboration program is based on Hybrid Power Systems topics, where renewable energies are integrated with conventional power generation systems. The position shall perform analyse the advantages and constrains of using renewable energies for power generation.
- Identify the R&D eco-system for the areas of power generation through renewable energies in combination with conventional power generation systems.
- Assess power systems through Simulation & Co-emulation to ensure its relatability.
- Assess in detail R&D topics related to the integration of a hybrid power systems, including power conversion systems, power management systems, energy management systems and other control and communication technics. Topics that are based in power electronic concepts.
- Understand the complexity of the Brazilian grid system, to identify the possibility of integrating the resources of our contemplated projects with the local generation and distribution power systems.
- Optimize the design of hybrid power systems, consideration techno-economic parameters.
**Context and environment**
- ANP requires Oil Company’s based in Brazil their full compliance with the 1% levy obligation through local and eligible R&D investments
- TotalEnergies EP Brazil is required to be fully compliant with ANP Regulation to avoid important fines and to ensure TotalEnergies EP Brazil license to operate
- MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, PhD degree is a plus.
- Experience in Electrical Engineering and Project Management.
- Previous experience in R&D and with ANP R&D regulations is a plus.
- Managerial skills to coordinate projects with Accredited Institutions and Brazilian Companies.
- Excellent technical analysis, interpersonal, oral, and written communication, organization, and presentation skills.
- Portuguese and English language skills are mandatory/to be acquired, preferably some knowledge in French.
