Corporate Development Manager
The Corporate Development Manager is responsible for building and managing a strategic business network of key decision makers, M&A advisors, and private equity/venture capital professionals to identify current and future M&A opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining an effective M&A pipeline through Salesforce CRM and creating market maps to establish strong relationships in assigned software industry verticals.
* Meeting and exceeding monthly M&A targets, such as establishing meaningful contacts and other measurable M&A sourcing KPIs.
* Working independently and collaboratively with M&A leadership to qualify M&A opportunities efficiently.
* Ensuring the lead database is allocated accurately within portfolio verticals.
* Effectively qualifying opportunities at the top-end of the acquisition funnel to maintain focus for Portfolio Managers of the business units.
Requirements:
* At least 3+ years of experience in Business Development/Sales or client-facing M&A/finance roles.
* A clear interest in developing a long-term pipeline of meaningful relationships with prospects.
* Previous high-performance in Business Development, winning in an autonomous role, or prior success in other walks of life outside professional BD experience.
* Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with confidence and executive presence to engage with CEOs, M&A advisors, corporate development, private equity and venture capital professionals.
* Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work variable hours.
* Extraordinary work ethic, proactive with a sense of urgency.
This role requires occasional in-person travel, which may include Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and/or Peru, and can be primarily performed remotely.
