We are partnering with a global industrial manufacturer to support the setup and scale-up of a new manufacturing facility in Bahia. This position will be pivotal in establishing the local organization, ensuring full compliance with labor regulations, and serving as a strategic HR advisor to plant leadership throughout a rapid growth phase. The HR Manager will have end-to-end responsibility for all people-related matters at the site, collaborating closely with regional and global HR teams within a shared services framework.
Key Responsibilities
Lead organizational design and workforce planning to support the plant’s start-up and expansion phases.
Manage full-cycle recruitment for approximately 60 positions, spanning both white- and blue-collar roles.
Oversee the hiring and onboarding of international employees, including coordination of visas and work permits for expatriates.
Serve as the primary HR interface with labor unions, regulatory bodies, and external partners.
Ensure adherence to Brazilian labor legislation and internal HR policies and standards.
Provide hands‑on HR advisory support to plant leadership on employee relations, performance management, and workforce engagement.
Facilitate cultural alignment and effective collaboration between local and international teams.
Drive harmonization and continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and reporting in line with regional and global HR frameworks.
Requirements
Demonstrated HR experience within a manufacturing or plant-based environment.
Strong track record as an HR Business Partner, preferably within a shared services model.
In‑depth knowledge of Brazilian labor laws and practical experience working with unionized labor.
Proven capability in managing high-volume recruitment, including blue‑collar hiring.
Experience supporting expatriate populations, including visa, work authorization, and relocation processes.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
