Job Title: Commodities and Equity Derivatives Trader Position
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to support validation for commodities asset class onboarding to an equity derivatives trading desk.
* Resolve daily front-office issues on functional, valuation, and pricing
* Work closely with traders (L3) and address issues from the equity derivatives desk
* Ammend pre-trade rules, eTradePad, simulations
This position offers a chance to work with an established client team, fully involved in project initiation through to project implementation.
Responsibilities:
1. Resolve daily front-office issues on both functional, valuation, and pricing
2. Resolve daily issues stemming from the equity derivatives desk (must)
3. Work closely and address issues from traders (L3)
4. Ammend pre-trade rules, eTradePad, simulations
5. Resolve requests or issues with profit and loss, market data, and booking issues
6. Analyze, formulate, propose, develop, and/or contribute to overall solutions as per PROD Support deliverables
7. Liaise with technical teams -- when needed -- to resolve front-office related issues and necessary enhancements
8. Manage day-to-day assigned project tasks to complete various front-office deliverables
9. Yield Curve issue resolution and validation; curve assignments; new curve creation
10. Continuous follow-up of new market regulations/practices globally
11. Perform various levels of testing for assigned deliverables as well as participate in formal release cycles (SIT/UAT)
12. When required, develop business requirements per given stream and according to project needs as they come along
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong product knowledge in commodities and equity derivatives
* Very strong understanding of foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives business
* Very Strong understanding on profit and loss concept overall and its components
* Very Strong understanding and hands-on experience in market data, curve structure, simulations, and trade life cycle
* Strong experience in supporting front-office users and resolving their daily issues
* 5+ years experience with front-office functionalities
* 4+ years experience in financial markets role
* SQL proficiency
Must have strong personality, logical and analytical skills. Be detail-oriented, a quick learner and self-starter. Possess good verbal and written communication skills. Must have strong organization skills.
