Job Title: Senior Technology Support Specialist Reports to: Chief Information Security and Technology Officer Department: Technology Job Classification: Non-Exempt Direct Reports: None Main Function Summary: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Technology Support Specialist to join our technology team. This role requires someone to serve as a key technical resource, supporting end-users, managing IT systems, and ensuring operational stability across the technology environment. This role also will collaborate on system improvements and mentoring junior support staff. Education and Experience: BS degree in Computer Science or a related subject or relevant work experience. 5 years of experience in technology support with at least 1 year in a systems/server administration role. Proficient with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365/Azure AD. Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V). Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows and other environments. Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, subnets, routing, VPN). Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Job Description: Essential Duties Helpdesk Responsibilities (Tier 2/3 Support): Provide advanced technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person (onsite/hybrid). Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues on desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. Manage and resolve escalated tickets from junior support staff. Support user onboarding/offboarding including provisioning accounts and equipment. Document issues, resolutions, and processes in the ticketing system and knowledge base. Train and mentor junior helpdesk staff. Server Administration Responsibilities: Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy. Manage and monitor virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V). Perform system updates, patch management, and server backups. Maintain security policies and compliance (antivirus, endpoint management). Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues. Maintain documentation for server configurations, policies, and procedures. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
