At LemonJoy, we are looking for a Project Director with proven experience leading large-scale international sports events.This is not a traditional PM role.We are looking for someone who has already operated at the highest level of global sports events and can confidently lead complex productions from strategy to on-site execution.About the RoleYou will lead the end-to-end planning and execution of high-impact international sports events, working closely with global organizations such as:- FIFA- International Olympic Committee- CONMEBOLYou'll act as a senior point of contact, ensuring flawless delivery across technical production, broadcast, logistics, and stakeholder management.Key Responsibilities- Lead the strategic planning and on-site execution of large-scale international sports events- Act as the main liaison with international sports organizations and stakeholders- Define and manage scope, timelines, budgets (+$1M USD), and risks- Lead multidisciplinary teams (30+ people): production, AV, lighting, scenography, broadcast, logistics, hospitality- Oversee venue operations, rehearsals, live event execution, and dismantling- Ensure compliance with broadcast standards, accreditation protocols, and brand guidelines- Coordinate with host broadcasters and technical teams for seamless live delivery- Build and document operational playbooks for future productionsMust-Have Requirements- 10+ years of experience in live event project management- 5+ years working on large-scale international sports events (Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Pan American Games, etc.)- Proven experience working with or within organizations like FIFA, IOC, CONMEBOL, or similar- Strong knowledge of:- Broadcast operations- Accreditation systems- Event protocols and brand compliance- Experience managing budgets over $1M USD and teams of 30+ people- Fluent Spanish + Professional English- Availability to travel frequently and work on-siteNice to Have- Portuguese (highly valued)- Experience in Brazil or LATAM sports ecosystems- PMP / PMI certification- Experience with:- FIFA draws- Host broadcaster coordination- VIP/VVIP hospitality- Olympic or international bidsLocation & Conditions- Location: LATAM (Brazil preferred) / Remote with travel- Start date: ASAP- Contract: Contractor full-time- Compensation: USD $2,000 – $2,200 per month (depending on experience)Ideal ProfileYou are someone who understands both the institutional world of global sports organizations and the fast-paced execution of a creative agency.You don't need guidance on how a rehearsal, draw procedure, or broadcast setup works — you've done it before, multiple times, under pressure.
